Our Team

Our vision

At Halo and Horns Catering, our vision goes beyond the realm of culinary excellence; it is a commitment to change lives one meal at a time. We aspire to redefine the narrative of serving those grappling with food insecurity, aiming not just to fill stomachs but to elevate spirits.

We envision a world where every bite from our golden meals is a catalyst for positive change, putting genuine smiles on the faces of those we feed. Our mission is to go beyond nourishing bodies; we seek to make everyone who eats a golden meal feel special and seen. Every plate we serve carries a message of care, love, and thoughtfulness, reminding everyone who enjoys our creations that they are cherished members of the community.

In our culinary journey, we strive to be the spark that brightens up a moment in someone’s day and help herald a new era of dignity and respect in the fight against food insecurity. Join us as we craft a future where every meal becomes a symbol of hope and every person we serve feels the warmth of our commitment to their well-being.

Meet Angela Rivera-Accomando

Meet Chef Angela Rivera-Accomando, the CEO and founder of Halo & Horns Catering. Angela is a graduate of the Natural Gourmet Institute a Culinary school founded by Dr. AnnMarie Colbin whose philosophy is using food as medicine. Angela’s extensive experience includes cooking for private clients undergoing cancer treatment, collaborating with Joy Bauer on the Today Show, educating community members on how to incorporate a more plant-based diet into their lives, developing culinary work programs for adolescents on the autism spectrum, and catering for notable figures such as the First Lady of Guatemala and the French consultant.

While Angela has successfully catered special events spanning from the Hamptons to the Hudson Valley, her current focus is on crafting meals for community members facing food insecurity that are culturally sensitive nutritionally tailored meals. She has also worked along side former Senator David Carlucci and Assemblymember Ken Zebrowski in 2019 and had a law changed to help victims of domestic violence file reports for crimes made against them. She has seamlessly merged her passion for nourishing people with a commitment to social justice—a convergence she never anticipated.
